Explore the Artistic Wonders of De La Vega Art Gallery

Mariana de la Vega's vision extends beyond the walls of a gallery. This image captures the essence of her mission: creating spaces where art serves as a bridge among people, cultures, and generations. The heart, cradled within joined hands, symbolizes compassion, creativity, and community—the values at the center of The Center for Multicultural International Arts.
Mariana de la Vega's original artwork was featured during the Tucson Gem Show in February 2026, introducing collectors and visitors from around the world to her vibrant contemporary vision inspired by the Sonoran Desert, multicultural heritage, and the expressive power of color. For the past eight years, I have had the privilege of being part of De La Vega Art Gallery. What began as a volunteer opportunity has grown into an inspiring journey of artistic growth, meaningful connections, and community.

Through the guidance and encouragement of Mariana de La Vega, I discovered a creative vision I never knew I had. Her passion for the local arts community inspired me to pursue photography with confidence, leading to two successful exhibitions featuring my landscape photography from Arizona and across Canada.

Working alongside the gallery has allowed me to promote exhibitions, produce fine art prints, and connect with talented artists and professionals. As a Hispanic woman who once struggled with confidence and making new connections, I have found in the gallery a place where I can find my voice as both an artist and a person.

I am grateful to be part of De La Vega Art Gallery and excited to continue growing as a photographer while contributing to a community that celebrates creativity, collaboration, and the power of art.

Mary E. Anderson, a retired secondary science teacher with an M.S. in Environmental Studies and certification as a Master Naturalist, has always had a deep appreciation for nature and the arts, thanks to her upbringing in New York City. During the COVID pandemic, she began to explore tapestry mosaics, expressing her passion for nature through her artwork. Her pieces, which have the potential to be showcased in fine art exhibitions, reflect her dedication to environmental themes. Additionally, Mary hopes to feature her work in local venues like the Delavega Art Gallery.
